| Q:
I have lots of rashes & pimples
on my back of the body. Can I know what kind of
spa is able to help me to ease down the rediness
of the pimples and to give me a clearer and smoother
back? |
| A:
From your email it seems that you
have a skin inflammation that needs to be seen by
a medical specialist. So in the first instance,
before discussing any spa treatments, I recommend
that you see a dermatologist. Spa treatments may
help your symptoms, but please realise that they
work from the outside in, whereas medicine works
from the inside out. The spa treatments I recommend
are Thai white mud or the Canadian mud body wraps
where you will be wrapped in warm and highly mineralised
mud. The mud has therapeutic properties and it balances
the skin while treating disorders. |

| Q:
I am going to stay in your hotel
this New Year's holiday from Japan. And we do hope
to try this spa then. Should we make an appointment
before we leave Japan? If we have to do it, please
tell me how to make it. |
| A:
You are not obliged to reserve in
advance, however, I strongly recommend that you
do. Normally, the spas are busy from the afternoon
onwards, and during the holiday period it will be
even more so. You can book an appointment online.
The booking form requires you to select the pecific
spa treatments that you want to receive. However,
if you change your mind and wish to receive a different
treatment, then you can always contact the spa manager
to change your booking. |

| Q:
I am new to spa and I need advice
to choose the right treatment for my boyfriend and
myself. I am looking for a massage that would relax
his muscles. However he has some skin problem that
is not suitable for scrub. Is a combination of wrap
and massage good? Or facial and massage? As for
me, I prefer a massage that is gentler. |
A:
You each have different spa requirements
so to give you total flexibility, and to ensure
that you enjoy your treatments together, I suggest
the Spirit package for both of you in a double treatment
room.
With this package you can both have a massage and
you can have a body scrub while he opts for a body
wrap. You can tailor your massage options to suit
both of your needs. For a gentle touch I recommend
the Maui or Essence massage. For muscle relaxation,
the Ayuthaya and Fusion massages use Thai techniques
(my personal favorite). The Remaja is good for aches
and pains should he prefer a deeper massage.

| Q:
May I know if couples can choose
to have their spa treatments together in the same
room? |
| A:
Yes, all of our Angsana spas have
double treatment rooms for couple massage and other
treatments. |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
| Q:
Can men also use the spa?? I
would like to book a massage for my husband. |
| A:
Absolutely! We welcome men and all
of our Angsana spas provide double and single treatment
rooms. There is no reason to keep the benefits of
spa all to oneself - why not book a couple massage
or spa package? |

| Q:
Can you please recommend a wrap
and a rub for my specific skin type - normal to
oily. On the back - small blemishes (not inflamed),
enlarged pores, uneven pigmentation. Would like
to detox/cleanse, and lighten the colouring of the
blemishes. |
| A:
For a body scrub, I suggest our
Natural Thai Herbal Rub which is suitable for your
skin type and it is a natural way to treat problem
skin. As for a body wrap, consider the Detox Mud
Wrap or Natural Thai Herbal Wrap. If you are really
concerned with lightening and smoothing the skin
then perhaps the Purifying Potato Mask would make
you happier, although this treatment is better suited
to dry-normal skin types. |

| Q:
Can ladies receive spa treatments
during the menstruation cycle? Are certain treatments
for which you have to be entirely naked not recommended
i.e. body wraps? |
A:
If a woman is menstruating, she
should avoid any body treatment that requires her
to remove her clothes and any treatment that indicates
a stimulating benefit. This includes all massage,
body scrub and body wrap treatments. Facial treatments
are fine. Even though they also require the guest
to be naked, her body will be covered with a blanket
during treatment.
For modesty's sake, a lady can wear disposable underwear
if she wishes. But if she is menstruating, it is
not recommended that she receive any treatment.
The guest is not required to remove any clothes
for beauty treatments such as hair care, manicure
and pedicure. |
