Angsana
Spa Introduces Thai & Asian Spa Remedies To The Pacific
Island Of Guam
Tropical Garden Spa in Guam a Planned Move to Strengthen
Banyan Tree Group’s Market Position in Oceania
Guam, USA, May 2003
Angsana Spa, a contemporary spa brand by the award-winning
Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, will launch a new spa
in Guam Marriott Resort at Tumon Bay on 15 May 2003, in
a planned development to further its brand’s and
the group’s market position in the Oceania region.
The establishment of an Angsana Spa in the Pacific Islands
follows the opening of its first Day Spa in Sydney, Australia,
another key market in the Oceania region. This is the
first time that Thai and Asian spa remedies will be introduced
to spa aficionados in Guam. Created in October 1999 to
enable parent company, the Banyan Tree group, to diversify
into other markets and operations, the three-year-old
Angsana Spa has, to date, rapidly expanded to a total
of 14 spas in seven countries in Asia and the Pacific
including Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Taiwan,
the Maldives, Hong Kong and Guam.
The name Angsana Spa is inspired by the statuesque Angsana
tree found in the tropical rainforest of Asia that is
best noted for its crown of flowers that burst into a
fragrant shower of golden-yellow blooms unexpectedly.
The glorious Angsana beholds the maxim to live life and
savour time as it passes inexorably. Reflecting this vivacious
outlook on life, Angsana Spa presents a contemporary setting
where holistic therapies draw on the natural goodness
of herbs, fruits and flowers to renew the mind, body and
spirit.
