Spa Double Bay Now Ranks Amongst Top Ten Day Spas Worldwide*
Year-old Spa Voted into Category’s 6th Position
in First Conde Nast Traveller’s Annual Spa Awards

In the inaugural Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’
Spa Awards 2004, Angsana Resorts & Spa’s first
and only day spa, the Angsana Spa Double Bay Sydney (Australia)
was voted number six in the “Overseas Urban Day
Spa” category of listing, of top ten spas outside
the United Kingdom*.
The ranking was determined by a reader’s choice
survey conducted by Conde Nast Traveller, one of the world’s
leading travel publications. Readers voted for spas around
the world based on their satisfaction with the ambience,
décor, amenities, body and facial treatments, cuisine,
exercise programmes and service quality. Angsana Spa Double
Bay scored 93.33 points out of a possible 100 to place
it in the sixth position, ahead of Agua Spa at Miami’s
Delano Hotel, s.k.i.n The Wellness Spa in Cape Town, The
Dome Retreat at Brisbane Marriott Hotel and Le Spa NUXE
in Paris. |

Angsana
Spa was conceptualised, developed and managed by multiple
award-winning Banyan Tree Spa. The group opened its first
day spa in Double Bay, Sydney in January 2003 with a menu
of 39 massages, body polishers, skin enhancers, facials
and fusion baths that add a new twist to the traditional
health and beauty recipes of the East. This accolade is
a double celebration for the Day Spa which has just completed
its first year of operation with promising results, thanks
to the support of spa enthusiasts, local media, state
and local tourism organisations as well as ground marketing
partners.
No stranger to Australian holidaymakers, Angsana Resorts
& Spa has garnered a loyal following since its debut
in September 2000 in Palm Cove. Angsana Spa was instrumental
in positioning Palm Cove as Australia's spa destination,
a reputation that was sealed with Angsana Spa Great Barrier
Reef being conferred the “Best Hotel Health/Day
Spa” honour at the 2003 HM Awards for Hotel &
Accommodation Excellence across Australia, New Zealand
and the South Pacific.

world” by Harper’s and Queens 2003, a high-end

ABOUT ANGSANA SPA
